figured i should keep trying to blog a little bit.

This weekend was a big oldies movie weekend for me.  I somehow looked up on youtube a clip from star trek, first contact yesterday.  And i ended up watching the entire thing online.

If you don’t know this about me…I am a trekkie.  I started watching The Next Generation back in elementary school.  They used to show the reruns on UPN at 10PM. I would watch every. single. night.  And learned some of the dialogue by heart.  After talking to Jason Mok, we ended up watching Star Trek Voyager together, too.  And I would catch the occasional Deep Space Nine as well - as the series came to an end.  Yes, I even went to the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas when I was a kid.  Bomb ass time, too.

Anyway, I digress.  Pretty much after watching Star Trek (the new one) this year, I started rewatching the old stuff.  I watched 3 seasons straight of Next Generation, and also started watching the original series a little bit too.  But nothing ever comes close to this movie (first contact).

Something about watching this movie pretty much makes me sad since I’ve grown up lol.  I remember loving this movie as a kid, imagining myself as part of the crew and all that good fun.  And I realized now that I have so much on my plate that I can’t even enjoy it the same way anymore.  It kinda makes it seem like all of this work is less important than we think, that we should get reconnected with our roots.

Anyway…im sleepy so I’m not sure what i’m writing.  I watched princess bride too. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. awesome movie.
